I’ve been thinking about how local directories actually help small businesses in BC expand their reach. A friend of mine opened a little coffee shop in Vancouver a couple of years ago, and at first, she was really struggling to get the word out. She had a social media page, but it wasn't driving much traffic. It wasn't until she listed her shop on a few local directories that she started seeing more foot traffic. People would come in and tell her they found her through one of those listings. I’m curious if anyone else has had a similar experience or knows more about how effective these directories really are?

I don't have much experience with local directories myself, but I have noticed that when I'm searching for something, I tend to trust businesses that are listed in multiple places. It's like an added layer of credibility, you know? If I see a business in a directory, I feel like it's more reliable than one that's only on social media. Just my two cents from the consumer side of things!
