Shanks and his crew are almost always partying and drinking alcoholic beverages, as the captain's favorite pastimes are attending and hosting parties and banquets.[34] He is even able to waver the resolve of prominent figures, such as Dracule Mihawk to join in with his fun, as a testament to his strong charisma.[2] Shanks is endlessly fond of parties and will start them for all sorts of occasions (regardless of whether he had already partied beforehand), as he did when he finally met Luffy's brother, Portgas D. Ace. Shanks is also quite the jokester and has a penchant for teasing others.
They still have yet to meet each other face to face since Luffy was a kid, but Luffy restated his interest in seeing Shanks again in the New World after departing from Fish-Man Island. Meanwhile, Shanks and the Red Hair Pirates seem delighted at Luffy's continuous growth.[24] Luffy has stated that, in spite of Shanks being his idol, he has interest in taking him down as well, since the red-haired man is one of the Four Emperors and, thus, in his way of becoming Pirate King.
When Shanks arrived at Marineford to stop the war, he asked Marco to withdraw as to avoid further conflict, threatening the Marines to have his crew join forces with the Whitebeard Pirates in order to protect them.[67] Following the battle of Marineford, Marco apologized to Shanks for his previous behavior and genuinely thanked him for ensuring the funerals of both Whitebeard and Ace, finally acknowledging him as something of an ally.[68] Later, after the events of the Raid of Onigashima, Shanks was kind enough to give Marco a ride back to Sphinx, and the two displayed a much friendlier relationship. Once again, Marco rejected Shanks' attempt to join his crew.
Shanks and Sengoku hold some level of respect for each other; even as enemies, both the World Government and Red Hair Pirates see a clash between sides as the final option. When Shanks arrived at Marineford and proclaimed that the pirates would give Whitebeard and Ace proper burials, Sengoku agreed to hand over the bodies and declare the war to be over, as well as take all responsibility himself, which Shanks thanked him for.[41]
Having already proclaimed \"his\" era is beginning, unveiling the new members of his crew, and demonstrating control over two Devil Fruits, Teach said he had achieved his goal for the time being, while also knowing he was not ready to face Shanks.[18]
Shanks also prevented another Emperor, Kaidou, from reaching Whitebeard as the old pirate made his way towards the Marine Headquarters, which enabled him to arrive without any hindrance in order to rescue Ace.[13] Following Whitebeard's death, Shanks saved Whitebeard's crew and their allies at the final portion of the Summit War of Marineford and gave Whitebeard and Ace a proper burial sometime later.[68]
Unlike Luffy, there was no real significant change in appearance from Romance Dawn V.1 to the final version. Even with the change of art style, aside from being drawn less realistically, he is the same, the only real exception being the absence of his black cloak, although he did wear a decorative short cape over his left shoulder at the end of the chapter.
Cattleya (カトレア, Katorea) was a demon under the command of Freid Bagwa, assigned with conquering the Great Orcus Labyrinth and to either recruit or kill the hero and his party, but was killed by Hajime Nagumo.
Cattleya was also capable of respecting other warriors when they surprised her, such as Meld Loggins. And according to Mikhail, Cattleya was kind, wise, and loyal. Despite her low opinion of hero and his group, she still followed her orders and invited them to the demon's side twice.
By the time the heroes got to the 90th floor of the Great Orcus Labyrinth, Cattleya ambushed them along with an army of monsters that were given to her by their commander. She explained to them that her objective was to kill Hero and recruit the rest of the students to join the demons' side. When the hero blatantly rejected her offer and started attacking her, she and her group of monsters managed to outmatch the heroes where they were forced to flee to the 89th floor of the dungeon.
Cattleya then broke through to the 89th floor and continued her attack. As Kouki was prepared to resume their battle, he saw that her Monster were holding Knight Commander Meld Loggins as a human shield. This distracted him long enough for him to be knocked out by Cattleya's most powerful monster Ahatod. She renewed her offer to the students with the hopes that putting Kouki out of action would give them a better opportunity to consider it. While they were debating the choice, the injured Meld told them to prioritize their survival first and tried to kill Cattleya by sacrificing himself, but was thwarted after the energy from his attack was absorbed by one of her Monster, Absod. The demon then stabbed Meld through the torso and sent him falling to the ground. Kouki attempted one last effort to kill Cattleya by using his most powerful skill \"Overload\". He managed to overpower her, but hesitated to kill her when he heard her saying goodbye to her lover, and realized that his enemy was not just a mindless monster. Cattleya criticized Kouki for his simplemindedness and ordered Ahatod and her other Monster to kill everyone.
After Hajime and the others left the labyrinth, other demons arrived to retrieve Cattleya's body. As they arrived, her body came under the possession of Eri Nakamura through her necromancy. Eri then used Cattleya's body as a way to communicate to the demons.
She comes from the Library Clan, a clan of demons that prioritize knowledge. They reside in a hidden dimension called the Exterior Library, which contains a vast archive of knowledge from various times and alternate universes. Instead of a desire to conquer the human realm, she instead wants to see the \"other side of the hill,\" a world where both the humans and the demons were freed from war.
When Hero was a toddler, she had already risen to the position of Demon Lord after overthrowing the previous Demon Lord in a coup. However, not too long after, even after she resealed the Gate between the human and demon world, the Second Holy Crusade broke through and conquered Gateway City.
Yura is a very powerul and dangerous demon. She worshipped the hair of her skull, finding Inuyasha's especially lovely, and became rather angry when the hair she manipulated was damaged. She was also quite confident in battle, believing herself to be extremely powerful like any demon. She was very comfortable with her voluptuous body, to the point of having an outwardly flirtatious attitude. Contrary to this behavior, she seems to consider herself a lady, calling herself such when verbally reprimanding Inuyasha for his rudeness, and becoming outright furious when he ran her through the chest with his claws. She wasn't angry he had hurt her but that \"a half-demon she just met put his hand in her chest.\"
Unlike most of the demons who appear in the series, Yura had a very human-like appearance (although her \"true form\" was technically a red comb). She took the appearance of a young girl with short, dark green hair, which she had tied up fan-like in a hair bob style. Her hair was dark enough to appear black in some lights. She had creamy skin and sharp fingernails, as well as a lithe and very agile body. She had reddish-violet eyes, wore red eye shadow, and red lipstick.
Kyojuro also loved his family immensely, displaying great respect and worry towards his father, Shinjuro Rengoku, despite him growing slowly more aggressive and apathetic towards Kyojuro. He was incredibly encouraging and optimistic towards his little brother, Senjuro Rengoku, believing in him and wishing him the best no matter what. This was further accentuated during his death where his final words for his father and his little brother were \"take care of your body\" and \"follow your dreams no matter what\". Kyojuro also believes that if someone lacks immense skill, their hard work towards their dreams and desire to help people doesn't count for nothing.
Beneath his enthusiastic demeanor, Kyojuro was very logical and tactically intelligent, acting quickly and precisely in battle, especially when the lives of others are on the line. Kyojuro was also great in seeing talent in others, even in Nezuko Kamado, a demon which he wanted to kill beforehand, after seeing her risk her lives to fight and protect others. Though he was extremely optimistic, Kyojuro does sometimes have a sense of foreboding that those he believes in might die, especially his friends which he care deeply for. He, like most Demon Slayers, absolutely detests demons, usually because of their heinous deeds or because of their clashing morale values. Despite this, Kyojuro recognized and accepted Nezuko as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps after seeing her risk her life to protect innocents, showing that Kyojuro was capable of not letting his hatred for demons cloud his judgement.
Extrasensory Perception: Kyojuro had incredibly honed senses, such as when he was able to sense and perceive Akaza's immense presence and demon aura.[6] Kyojuro was also capable of sensing demonic presences faster and more accurately than Tanjiro Kamado, who harbors an acute sense of smell, when he detected two demons right after another on a train before anyone else noticed.[7] This ability also allowed him to precisely gauge the regenerative abilities and weaknesses of most demons, like Enmu.[8] Kyojuro was also able to perceive Tanjiro's injuries and torn blood vessel accurately, which allowed him to teach him how to plug up that wound and prevent him from dying of blood loss.[8] Furthermore, he was able to detect malice in Enmu's spells and prevented himself from getting incapacitated.
Immense Speed & Reflexes: As a Hashira, Kyojuro possessed tremendous speed and reflexes, so much so that even gifted Demon Slayers like Tanjiro and Inosuke Hashibira were unable to register his clash with Akaza, with the latter stating that he was on a different dimension. Kyojuro could even cause tremors to the ground and nearly launching a train off its tracks by running at such high speeds.[9] Moreover, Kyojuro could easily move at speeds much faster than the eye can see, decapitating demons before they can even react. His reflexes were so fast that he managed to cut Akaza's arm moments before the Upper Rank was going to hit Tanjiro. Kyojuro also managed to keep up with Akaza's high-speed techniques and incredibly swift movements, which he remarks is faster than the blink of an eye,[10] sometimes even managing to out-speed him. This surprised and impressed Akaza himself, who openly expressed his amazement over.[11] 59ce067264
